An admin creates the team
A coach, mentor, or team lead creates the team and gets a default configuration out of the box: standard task statuses, priorities, and event types already set up. From there, admins can customize almost everything — roles, permissions, task workflows, event categories — to match how your team actually operates.
Everyone joins with a QR code
Share a QR code or invite link at your next meeting. New members scan in, pick their account type, and sign in with a magic link — no password to remember, no manual roster entry for the admin.
Three distinct account types
Students, adults (parents and mentors), and admins are treated differently by design — different visibility into contact info, different permissions, different views of the app. A parent isn't shown the same things a team captain is.
Roles your team defines
Beyond the base account types, admins can create their own roles — Mentor, Captain, E-Board, Sub-team Lead, or whatever your team calls them — and assign more than one role per person.
What each part of the app actually does
Chat
Channels organized by sub-team or topic, direct messages, and group threads. Messages support reactions, pinning, and scheduling, and everything updates live — no refreshing to see what you missed.
Tasks
Tasks can have multiple assignees, sub-tasks nested under a parent, and optional sprints for teams that plan in cycles. Statuses and priorities are entirely team-defined, and filters persist so you're not resetting your view every time.
Events
Calendar and list views of meetings, scrimmages, and competitions. Parents can RSVP on behalf of their student through proxy delegation, and a team availability heatmap shows who's actually free before you lock in a build night.
Skills
Skill categories and progression levels that your team defines — not a fixed checklist. It gives coaches and mentors an ongoing, evidence-based view of where each student is, so coaching time goes where it's actually needed, for the individual and the group.
